What we collect

We collect information at specific points, not by default:

  • Free visibility check: your business name, website, and email address, so we can run the check and send you the result.
  • Paid signup: your business name, website, and billing email. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details, only a reference ID Stripe gives us for the subscription.
  • Your account: the prompt battery (questions we ask on your behalf) you write or edit, and every cycle's results — including any competitor names an AI assistant mentioned instead of you, since that's the specific thing the report tells you.

We don't store the IP address behind a free check or signup attempt. It's used only in memory, for a few minutes, to prevent abuse (rate limiting) — never written to our database.

How we use it

To run your checks, generate and deliver your reports, and follow up about what a check found — including, if you request a free check, occasional emails about related iCityWork services (you can unsubscribe from these anytime). We don't sell your information, and we don't publish your results publicly.

Signing in

Customer accounts use passwordless sign-in — we email you a one-time link instead of storing a password. That link and your signed-in session are tracked with a cookie that's strictly necessary to keep you logged in; it isn't used for tracking or advertising.

Who we share it with

  • Stripe — payment processing for paid plans.
  • Resend — delivers the emails we send you (reports, sign-in links, receipts).
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — a spam/bot check on our forms. It sets a cookie strictly necessary for that check to work.
  • Brevo — if you request a free check or sign up, your email and basic account status, so we can follow up and send occasional emails about related iCityWork services.
  • Google Analytics — aggregated site-usage analytics, only if you've accepted analytics cookies.
  • OpenAI, Perplexity, and Anthropic — we send your prompt battery's questions to these AI assistants to run your checks. We don't send them your business's private information — only the same kind of question a real customer would ask.

We don't share your information with anyone else, and we don't sell it.

Cookies & analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate — which pages get visited, roughly how many people run a check each week. It sets standard analytics cookies in your browser. We don't use it to build individual profiles or track you across other sites. Cookies for your signed-in session and Cloudflare's spam check are separate — strictly necessary for the site to work, not analytics.

Analytics cookies only load after you accept them in the banner shown on your first visit. Choosing "Necessary only" keeps the site fully usable — you just won't be counted in our analytics.

How long we keep it

We keep check, report, and account data for as long as it's useful for the service — mainly so your cycle-over-cycle history stays intact. If you'd like your information deleted, email us (below) and we'll remove it, short of what we're legally required to keep (e.g. Stripe's own payment records for tax purposes).

Your choices

Every follow-up email about a free check includes an unsubscribe link — one click stops all future follow-ups for that address. Subscriptions can be canceled anytime from your account's billing page. To request a copy or deletion of your data outside of that, just email us.

Changes to this policy

If this changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page. We won't use information collected under this policy for a materially different purpose without telling you.
